A cool, wet night and a poor turnout, unfortunately, but some excellent work. John Strickland hosted the evening and discussed the merits of drawing which, it must be stressed, does not just mean graphite pencil.
The theme was, if you recall, 'Shiny Things' which was fairly loosely interpreted.
Artists were given the opportunity to enter up to four pictures each and 18 pictures were displayed.
Cynthia Fletcher organised wine and snacks for the folk who came by and, despite the small numbers, we had an excellent time.
Democratically voted by all present, first prize went to Cynthia for her beautiful work (pictured above - what a great angle to have chosen) while John Strickland and Maureen Copley shared second place.
The winners (after a glass of wine!?)
Thanks Rob and Maureen for the photos.
