Last month, some of our members attended  SASA in Newlands. Six artists were simultaneously presenting demos  and we hope to host a similar fun event in September

FORTHCOMING ATTRACTIONS

MAY 

We are very fortunate that  SONIA JACKA will be sharing her expertise at our  afternoon workshop on 12^th May. What a wonderful opportunity!

KIRSTENBOSCH  is our paint out  destination for 19^th May. To share transport,

meet at FH civic centre 8.45am. Alternatively, meet at  Kirstenbosch top entrance 9.30 for 9.45am. Free entry for pensioners  on Tuesdays  (please  remember ID ). Unfortunately no chairs allowed.

DRAWING COMPETITION  on the evening of 27^th May . Please bring along any  graphite drawings  ( provided made within last 12   months) . The subject   matter is entirely up to you …so free your imagination ! Fellow members to vote for winners.

JUNE

John Strickland will be offering a practical COLOR MIXING WORKSHOP on the  9^th

On the public holiday, 16^th, there will be no event.

Guest speaker for evening of 24th still to be confirmed. 

PAST EVENTS

In April well-known UK artist, Vicki Norcliffe, brought a model. She showed us how to start a portrait and then proceeded with a walkabout coaching us. The workshop ended with a very useful critique of our work. The workshop was enjoyed by all.

The paint out at Chart farm was met with enthusiasm – both the view and the cake!

Our first critique of member’s work was successful .However the critique will be AFTER the meeting if we have a guest speaker. Please bring an easel for the small paintings!
