PAINT OUT - Trees with attitude! 18th February

Come join the monthly paint out, February,  in Tokai.

There is parking near the church, shade, we'll be secure in a group, there are trees to tempt your palette, a small church to inspire an architectural drawing and the wind may not blow... what could be better.

Meet 9am for 9:30 and bring your enthusiasm.

An Evening with HAZEL SOAN

FISH HOEK ART SOCIETY is 60 years old this year and is planning a number of events to commemorate this special birthday.

The first of these on Wednesday 26^th February is “An Evening with Hazel Soan”.  

This well-known British artist will be the guest of honour for an evening. She will talk about her art, the challenges of working in watercolour and how there are subjects, however small, to paint all around us. 

Those who know Hazel through her books, TV programmes, magazine features and DVDs will appreciate what an enthusiastic and motivating artist she is, and this will no doubt prove – as on previous occasions – a very exhilarating evening.

Anyone interest in art is invited to attend. The talk will be held at Nerina Gardens, Upper Recreation Road, and will start at 7pm. Entrance is free to FHAS members, visitors' tickets are R25 each and raffle tickets are R15.

Wine (or juice) and cheese will be offered and there will be a chance later to chat with Hazel, buy one of her DVDs or books, and to meet the new committee members of the Society.
